This 14-year-old is so go at billiards, that he already has his own nickname. Having never had any formal instruction, Matthew “The Stinger” Webber learned over 200 trick shots on his own. His dad taught him eight and nine ball, but he found his calling after his dad shared a trick shot video on his Facebook page one day.
The Stinger is sponsored by the Wisconsin Artistic Pool Players Association — because that’s a thing — and is offering to pay his entry fees in trick shot competitions — because that’s also a thing. He’s also received an offer to play an exhibition in China, which is also pretty cool for a 14-year-old just trying to shoot some pool in his Indiana basement.
