Ray Allen is a prodigious sneakerhead who has developed a rather fun way to give away some of his old pairs of shoes.
The 3-point legend is once again holding a social media scavenger hunt where he has placed kicks at various locations in Connecticut and posted snapshots of each area to his followers on Instagram. The first follower to make his or her way to the location gets the shoes.
Allen’s sneaker scavenger hunt has become something of a tradition. He’s organized them at various times in Boston and Miami during his respective stops with the Celtics and Heat.
So, if you’re in the Hartford area and see a Jordan box lying on the ground in an odd spot, it may be well worth your time to check if there’s anything inside.
