Asdrubal Cabrera stepped up to the plate during Tuesday night’s Rays-Blue Jays game at the bottom of the eighth, with the score knotted up at 2-2. He then proceeded to hit a home run toward right field, seemingly earmarked for the head of a small child. But no fear, there was a father nearby, and he caught the ball right? He saved the little kid from what would be a brutal head injury as he raised the ball to the applause of the crowd, right?
No, he flinched. But, no fear, there was a little kid nearby with a glove who didn’t bail.
This little kid just saved a life and doesn’t even care to get up. He gave the dude who’s ass he saved on national television a pity high-five, but that’s about it. This kid is the definition of cool.
