On Wednesday, the folks behind the NBA 2K series announced that Michael Jordan will be on the cover of a very special edition of NBA 2K16.
His Airness himself had this to say about his third appearance on the cover of the 2K series:
“I’m excited about this year’s NBA 2K ‘s Special Edition,” said Michael Jordan. ” NBA 2K16 allows gamers young and old to not only experience and re-create some of my greatest moments on the basketball court but also customize their players with Jordan shoes and apparel.”
Jordan shoes and apparel? By buying the special edition, players can essentially cosplay Michael Jordan. Yes, apparently the very special edition of NBA 2K16 will come with a digital Jordan jersey, Jordan T-shirt and even Jordan shoes for your brokenly overpowered MyPLAYER.
In addition, the Jordan cover of NBA 2K16 will come with a Jordan 2K16 poster and a Jordan Fathead thing so that your entire gaming room can become a decorated shrine to Air Jordan.
The special edition is available for pre-order and those who do pre-order the game will receive it on September 25th, four days ahead of the official release.
