When LeBron James gets hurt, even the tiniest bit, he likes the world to know he got hurt. He visibly agonizes in pain until the referee asks him if he wants out, and then he proceeds to shake it off and play like nothing ever happened. But no one ever questions his toughness because he’s the best player in the universe and is built like a Greek god.
So when Andre Iguodala got fouled on his way to the rack and jokingly held his arms as if he were injured to troll James, it was refreshing to see a jab at James.
Iguodala mentioned in his postgame interview last night that he and James have been going at it for more than a decade. James has been having a historic NBA Finals, but Iguodala has been spectacular in his own right. He’s been the best, most consistent player for the Warriors, averaging 14.8 points per game and 5.5 rebound on 58% shooting. And when coach Steve Kerr asked him to start Game 4, Iguodala outdueled his old rival, delivering a 22 point performance.
