David Wilson is done playing football, but he isn’t done competing.
The former New York Giants running back will make his pro track debut Saturday, bouncing back from a neck injury that halted his football career. His Instagram post from last Saturday stated he’s recovering from a hamstring injury, but this is his last chance to qualify for the USA Championships.

Wilson showed tremendous potential as an NFL running back before being forced into retirement. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old won’t be able to complete his football goals, but he noted last November that he hopes to compete in the 2016 Olympics.
He’s an incredibly talented athlete, leaving no doubt that he could make his new dream a reality.
