Earlier this month, ballots were submitted to NBA players for the first-ever “Basketball Players Awards”, an NBAPA-sponsored competitor to the traditional awards — MVP, 6th Man, Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player — the media votes on every spring. Unlike the media vote, ballots are anonymous, which is important for some categories. Especially “Player You Secretly Wish Was On Your Team”, because then it wouldn’t be quite so secret.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony this summer in Las Vegas.
