The Mets and Yankees might share a city but the rivalry is routinely passed over when discussing the most heated matchups in baseball. With the Mets sudden resurgence and apparent feistiness from both teams, that might be changing.
The two teams met in the Bronx last weekend, with the Yanks ending the Mets 11-game winning streak on Friday before dropping Saturday’s game and winning Sunday’s game to grab a series win. It was during Sunday’s finale that the teams Twitter accounts engaged in a short but hilarious Twitter beef:
