On Wednesday, David Ortiz managed to surpass Chipper Jones on the all-time home run list in the fifth inning of the Red Sox’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Facing Nathan Karns, Ortiz blasted the 469th home run of his career. It was a beauty.

Of course, the home run got the flawlessly understated bat flip that it deserved.

With that dinger, Ortiz has officially hit the 32nd most home runs in MLB history. Carlos Delgado and his 473 career home runs are on notice.
