Great Britain doesn’t strike many as a hotbed for elite hockey talent but they do have some pretty impressive youngsters, including Ben O’Connor. During their win over South Korea in the IIHF Division I Group B World Championships in the Netherlands, the 26-year-old pulled off one of the slickest shootout goals you will ever see.
In a what proved to be the eventual game-winner, O’Connor calmly flipped the puck into the net after zipping it between his legs. And hockey traditionalists, don’t even try to argue his momentum was stopped and it should be called off. Just appreciate the beauty of this move:
