The cinnamon challenge has long been an internet mainstay and Angels pitcher Hector Santiago added his name to the long list of people who have uploaded videos of themselves gagging on a mouthful of ground cinnamon.
Of course, it doesn’t help that Hector was advised to “suck it in.”
For those that don’t know what they just watched, the Cinnamon Challenge usually involves an individual trying to eat a spoonful of cinnamon in one minute without the assistance of any water. It is particularly difficult (I’ve yet to see a video of anyone completing it) because cinnamon dries out the mouth and throat which leads to the coughing and gagging that you often see in “Cinnamon Challenge” clips.
Judging by the internet’s love of these things, Hector Santiago isn’t going to be the last person to fail this thing either.
