Charles Barkley is a national treasure.
The most entertaining basketball analyst to ever grace television was in prime form on Friday as he helped cover CBS Sports’ NCAA March Madness. After a tweet was flashed across the screen, Chuck responded with a question that would unintentionally create a new Twitter sensation:
“If you put something on the bottom, is it called a hashmere?”
Of course, Twitter being Twitter, #hashmere soon became a thing on Twitter.
.@NBAonTNT Absolutely turribull form by Chuck. However, @TheJetOnTNT's #hashmere jacket is spectacular. pic.twitter.com/XRjoIBnB8f

Charles Barkley just called a hashtag a 'hashmere'. They should add that to his recent commercial. #hashmere in da annapolis
