Adam Sandler and Kevin James’ latest project, Pixels, sees the two actors squaring off against classic video game characters – including Pac-Man and Donkey Kong – after alien life forms turn them into destructive killing machines and send them to earth to wreak havoc.
I have conflicted feelings about said project because, one one hand, I’m a fan of Sandler (in his early days at least), classic video games and some of the supporting cast – including Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage. On the other hand, most of Sandler’s recent films (and pretty much all of James’ movies) have sucked, and this one doesn’t exactly look like it’s going to be any sort of revelation. Plus, these two guys as action stars?! Yeah, I’m not so sure about that.
I guess we’ll have to find out this summer.
