Last week, it was reported that Rory McIlroy would play a casual golf game with none other than New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
However, it appears that the two had an opportunity to meet before they took to the links. On Thursday, McIlroy posted the above photo to his Facebook page, along with the requisite humblebrag hashtags #4SuperBowls and #4Majors.
While the pairing may seem odd at first blush, Brady is no stranger to the golf course. The man has played at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on several occasions and he reportedly plays with an 8 handicap.
Nonetheless, I’m sure that there’s plenty that Brady could learn about golf from McIlroy. And who knows. Maybe Brady can give McIlroy pointers on how to sling a golf club even further than McIlroy did at the WGC-Cadillac Championship last week.
