It has to be tough to see a friend and teammates get traded to another team. If you’re Drew Brees, it has to be extra-tough to see your best receiving threat suddenly vanish from the Saints roster.
The blockbuster trade that sent Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for Max Unger was the likely impetus for this Tweet that Brees posted on Wednesday. In it, Brees fashioned his son in a Graham Saints jersey.
It seems like Brees is still looking for ways to get over the shock of Graham’s trade to Seattle, given his reaction to the trade on Tuesday.
“I’m as shocked as everyone else. I love the guy,” Brees said.
