On Tuesday, the NFL received a jolt to its offseason when it was reported that the Philadelphia Eagles had traded franchise running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso.
The news was unceremoniously dumped on a shocked sports world by, who else, Adam Schefter.
Filed to ESPN: Bills have notified LB Kiko Alonso he is going to be traded to Philadelphia for RB LeSean McCoy. Trade official next week.

For what it’s worth, Drew Rosenhaus, McCoy’s agent, has not confirmed that a trade has taken place.
I just spoke with the Eagles organization and there is no trade for LeSean at this time. There have been discussions but nothing finalized

Seeing as how McCoy has been the face of the Eagles offense for years and seemed to be a perfect fit for Chip Kelly’s offense, the news took many by surprise. This is not a move that Eagles fans likely predicted that Kelly would make when it was announced that he would be in charge of player personnel back in January.
Needless to say, it appears that someone was pretty displeased with the trade and took to Wikipedia to voice their frustration.
