In case you needed another reminder that Connor McDavid is pretty good at hockey, the 18-year old top prospect made sure to provide it on Wednesday night when his Eerie Otter took on the Guelph Storm.
McDavid had six points (four goals and two assists) in the Otters’ 8-4 win over Guelph, including the gorgeous goal you see above in which he mercilessly dekes around Storm defenders before softly flipping a puck over the shoulder of Guelph’s netminder.
It’s certainly not the first (or second) extraordinary highlight we’ve seen from McDavid – and it likely won’t be the last, either – but hockey fans will likely enjoy the refresher on why he’s expected to go #1 overall in this summer’s draft. After Wednesday’s performance, McDavid has 11 points in his last two games and 98 total through 37 games for the Otters.
