Brandon Bostick found a new home very soon after his departure from the Green Bay Packers. The man who was ridiculed for botching the infamous NFC title game onside kick headed four hours west when he was almost immediately claimed by Minnesota Vikings. His new coach is already making jokes at Bostick’s expense.
After the Vikes grabbed Bostick on Wednesday, Mike Zimmer commented on their new player and even threw in a playful jab:
Zimmer said Brandon Bostick adds depth, competition at TE. And he joked, “We’ll try not to put him on the onside kick team.” #Vikings

It was clearly a joke but apparently some people did not appreciate it, prompting Vensel to remind everyone it is all in good fun:
re: Zimmer’s joke about Bostick: He was being playful. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment made when asked about giving Bostick a chance.
