One of the true treats of the NFL Combine is watching Rich Eisen run the 40 yard dash in his work clothes.
While he’s certainly no Rich Eisen, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell decided to try out Eisen’s stunt in the NFL offices as a part of a nebulous awareness campaign. Goodell’s 40 yard dash is meant to encourage others to film themselves running a 40 yard dash and uploading their results to the internet using the #RunRichRun hashtag in order to raise awareness for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital .
For his part, Goodell clocked in with an unofficial time of 5.59 seconds which is admittedly not bad for a 55 year old dude. I wonder if Goodell has to fine himself for not wearing NFL-approved Combine gear though.
