Sure, Madden couldn’t have predicted that Jermaine Kearse would catch a ball off his belly and it surely couldn’t have predicted that Darrell Bevell would call a pass play from the one inch line with the game on the line, but the video game was pretty scarily accurate outside of that.
A Gronk touchdown? Check. Marshawn Lynch scoring on a patented Beast Mode score? Check. Julian Edelman scoring the game-winning touchdown? Check. Final score 28-24 with the Patriots winning? Check.
Maybe it’s time to start taking these Madden predictions more seriously.
