Down 16-0, the Seattle Seahawks needed a huge play and their special teams delivered.
Jon Ryan took the snap and immediately threw a bomb to offensive tackle Garry Gilliam for Seattle’s first touchdown of the day. Yes, if you somehow bet that the Seahawks’ punter would have the team’s first touchdown pass of the NFC Championship Game, you’re probably a very rich person right about now (and probably a wizard). Bonus points if you had a 306 pound rookie offensive tackle making the first scoring reception of the game for Seattle. Football is weird.
We have a game, folks.
