Well, this was quite the Freudian slip. John Elway just thanked himself — John Elway — instead of thanking the coach he recently fired — John Fox. Oops.
Considering Elway was the one who got Peyton Manning to come to Denver in the first place, Elway is right — he should be thanking himself for the Broncos season.
