Skip Bayless delivered another one of his scorching hot takes on ESPN’s “First Take” this morning, and his latest may (and should) get him in a bit of trouble with his employer.
While discussing reports that Johnny Manziel’s party was the reason for Josh Gordon’s suspension from the Browns, Bayless called the 22-year old rookie quarterback an “alcoholic” and “a liar,” two pretty serious accusations from someone who is supposed to have journalistic integrity (not that we’ve come to expect any from him) without much evidence to back it up.
Bayless is a clown and gets paid handsomely to do so – gotta generate buzz for the show somehow – but the network should not let slander like this slide.
