Following an excellent year in film, 2014’s production is being overshadowed by the highly controversial move by Sony to yank The Interview. As agitated folks across the world debate the decision and the backlash continues, with no clean agreement in sight, let’s step away and appreciate the beauty that was 2014 in film. A year chucked with high budget superhero action adventures, highly anticipated sequels and one sci-fi film that still has its own actors confused as to what they were doing, might have concluded with The Interview debacle but was defined by some huge box office numbers.
