The Houston Astros have not made the playoffs since 2005, have not eclipsed 76 wins since 2009 and have lost an average of 104 games over the last four years. Although anything can happen in baseball, it does not appear likely that they will be returning to the postseason in 2015 therefore have done the obvious: schedule a Taylor Swift concert for mid-October at Minute Maid Park.

Just moments after tweeting that T. Swift will bring her talents to Houston on October 13th, the team reminded everyone that in the event that the Astros are playing postseason ball the date could be moved. It is unclear if they initially planned to send out the second tweet but it’s amusing to wonder if they did not even consider the potential of playoff baseball and were forced to scramble with a gentle reminder.
Note: the date of the Taylor Swift 1989 tour show at #MMP is subject to change if it conflicts with an #Astros postseason home game.
