College football is getting ready for its first ever four-team playoff and- wouldn’t you know it – all four schools that have made the cut are sponsored by Nike.
This had to make the Swoosh very happy, and they’ve celebrated by designing (somewhat) new uniforms for Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State for their big games. While most of the jerseys aren’t drastic variations of what the teams usually wear, they do come with some pretty cool details.
Each of the uniforms is adorned with a diamond-colored Nike swoosh to symbolize the CFB championship ring. Also, each pair of cleats that players will wear were made from five recycled plastic bottles, meaning they’re not only stylish but environmentally-friendly as well.
The big standouts are the Ducks’ awesome all-green look and Ohio States reincorporation of gray stripes. OSU also gets points for awesome base layer and gloves, which both resemble a chalkboard complete with handwritten notes from former legendary head coach Woody Hayes.
