Soccer players get a lot of flack for diving and embellishing, but I think it’s safe to say that this isn’t one of those instances.
That’s Hellas Verona’s Nico Lopez getting taken out by Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto, who slides into Lopez and sends him flipping through the air and crashing down hard to the turf. Despite the vicious takedown, which earned Neto a yellow card, Lopez was uninjured and still able to net the game-tying goal for his team.
And who says soccer players aren’t tough?
