Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs was at the center of a nightmare sequence for the Gunners during Saturday’s match against Manchester United.
During a United offensive possession early in the second half, Gibbs took out his own keeper, Wojciech Szczesny, seconds before scoring on his own net courtesy of a deflection from an Antonio Valencia shot.
To make matters worse, Szczesny suffered an injury on the collision and had to removed from the game immediately following the goal. He became the second injury substitution of the half for an already-depleted Arsenal, as Jack Wilshere came off due to an ankle injury just a few minutes earlier.
