In this week’s edition of “not worth it,” a Paterson, New Jersey man was recently charged with second-degree robbery after he tried to steal a pair of Air Jordan VI’s from a sixteen year old earlier this year.
By pepper spraying said teen in the face.
22-year-old Steve Cardona contacted a sixteen year-old on Craigslist in order to express interest in a $490 Jordan sneaker purchase back on July 28th. However, when the two met at an intersection, Cardona pepper sprayed the kid, took the sneakers and ran.
Cardona was charged after the victim was able to identify him in a photo array according to an affidavit obtained by My Central New Jersey on Tuesday.
First, stealing sneakers is never worth it. Second, why would someone want to steal some Air Jordan VI’s when the best Air Jordan VI is set to release on November 28th? Granted, that’s Black Friday, but trying for those won’t land you in jail at least.
