Mark Sanchez, the Eagles’ backup quarterback, was forced into the game against the Texans on Sunday when Nick Foles suffered an injury. On his first play, Sanchez connected with Jeremy Maclin on a deep pass.
Left tackle Jason Peters turned around and was about to congratulate Foles on a great pass. It was then that he realized Sanchez was playing quarterback. From the Eagles’ team website:
I didn’t even know Foles was out. He threw that bomb to Maclin, I turned around to congratulate him and it was Sanchez. I didn’t even know the guy was out until I started looking for him and he had went in for X-rays.
Might want to lower Peters’ awareness rating on Madden.
