Elano Blumer stepped up to take a simple 40 mm free kick with every intention of putting it on goal, and he executed it to a ridiculously perfect extent. This easily stands up to Rooney’s bicycle kick as being a top contender for goal of the year given the distance and sniper like accuracy. The goal occurred during Santos vs. Colo Colo in the Copa Libertadores where Colo Colo ended up with a victory.
