Being an Edmonton Oilers fan has been a frustrating existence for much of the past decade and it appears that the team’s fans are growing very impatient these days. The Oilers opened up their season at home last night against the Calgary Flames, losing 5-2.
There were some very upset Oilers fans in the crowd in Edmonton, but maybe none more than the one who threw his or her hoodie (and phone) onto the ice during the season opener:

That was probably a rash decision considering their are still 81 games left to be played this season. Then again, it may not get much better for the Oilers.
I just wish they had a camera on the fan who threw it onto the ice so I could see the look on their face as soon as they realized that their phone was in the pocket of the sweatshirt.
