In case you missed it, the Kansas City Royals came back from the brink of playoff death multiple times against the Oakland A’s on Tuesday night, mounting three separate comebacks thanks to a barrage of sacrifice bunts and some timely hitting in the bottom of the 12th inning. Over the course of such a tense back-and-forth affair, writers are frantically updating their stories so they can quickly post them to their respective publications at the game’s conclusion.
