Mere minutes after the Baltimore Ravens announced that they were finally terminating the contract of Ray Rice, the NCAA announced that they would be lifting Penn State University’s postseason ban immediately, citing “progress in ensuring athletics department functions with integrity.”
Due to Penn State’s progress in ensuring athletics dept functions with integrity, NCAA immediately restores football postseason eligibility.

The postseason ban – originally set to end in 2016 – was handed down in 2012 as a result of the Jerry Sandusky child abuse revelations.
