Patrick Peterson and Richard Sherman have had a bit of a rivalry going over the past year and Twitter has done wonders to keep the beef alive. After Sherman signed a $57 million extension in May, Peterson said he believed he was worth more than that.
Sherman responded to Peterson’s line of thinking by posting some interesting stats on Twitter:

But, despite those telling stats, Peterson just became the highest-paid cornerback in the league with a five-year, $70 million extension with the Cardinals this week. After hearing the news, Sherman decided to RT a comparison between the two.
Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson combined to allow 8 touchdown passes in 2013. Peterson gave up seven of those.

Naturally, Peterson’s response came soon after with a cute, emoji-filled subtweet.
But Sherman, an expert trash-talker, threw an absolute haymaker in reponse.

I’m sure all that money will help Peterson heal those burns.
