Weddings can be unfortunately difficult for those who have lost loved ones, especially recently, as was the case for Jennifer Urs Sullivan. She lost her father Walter to a sudden heart attack in October 2012, just six months before becoming engaged.
“I couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle without him and it was something, every time I thought about it I broke down,” Sullivan told Local 10 News in Miami.
Both Jennifer and Walter loved football and spent many father-daughter days watching or attending football games, many of which were the Miami Hurricanes, her alma mater. Seeking a way to walk down the aisle as peacefully as possible while honoring her father, she came up with the following:
