New York Yankees pitcher Shane Greene had an incredibly rough day on the mound in the Bronx on Monday, when he not only surrendered four runs in 5 2/3 innings but also had three errors in the field. The 25-year old’s tough day at the office came in just his fourth MLB appearance and led to his first career loss on the mound.
He’ll likely want to forget these highlights.
Might be time to go back to the drawing board for some pitcher fielding practice. Fortunately for Greene, none of those errors directly led to runs against…but he’ll still likely want to tighten up that portion of his game. He might see some batters test him with bunts back to the mound in his next start.
