I love Johnny Football, but I do not want him playing for my baseball team. The San Diego Padres obviously felt a little bit different.
On Saturday, in the 28th round of the MLB draft, the Padres selected Johnny Football. Right off the bat, Johnny seemed pleased.
Regarding the pick, Padres President Mike Dee had this to say:
“I would say in the near future, it’s probably unlikely. But if he ever put on a Padres’ uniform, it would be great. Who knows what the future holds? You never know.”
Dee is right — who knows what the future has in store? And, since we’re all playing pretend, it seems like a great idea to think of some other jobs we’d love to see Johnny Football take up. Here we go…
