Well, folks, I think we’ve established a new boundary for what qualifies as standing a “safe distance” from a passing train: don’t stand within a leg’s length of the conductor. Jared Michael discovered this the hard way recently, when a conductor gave him a quick boot to the head while Michael, who claimed he was standing a “safe distance” from the train, posed for a selfie. While Michael’s positioning wasn’t a great idea, kicking somebody in the face next to a moving train probably isn’t a great idea either.
