The Chicago White Sox played host to the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night on the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings that claimed the lives of three and injured hundreds. In Boston, a touching ceremony was held to remember those affected by the tragedy, but Chicago wanted to make sure the victims knew that support still extended far beyond Massachusetts.
The White Sox wore the great shirts you see in the photos above as they took the field before the game at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday. The shirts have the famous ‘Boston Strong’ circular logo emblazoned upon them, but underneath is a cool added touch…the South Siders’ ‘Sox’ logo with phrase “Sox Together.”
Really awesome gesture by the ChiSox. Well done.
