It’s no secret that colleges and universities cater to their star athletes, especially at big-time competitive schools. Sometimes, though, you see or hear examples of the preferential treatment that kind of make you sick.
This would be one of those examples.
Bryan Armen Graham – citing a University of North Carolina whistleblower – says that the school puts athletes in classes that never meet and only require one final assignment. Graham tweeted out this photo of one of those final “papers” turned in by a UNC athlete, one which was considered worth of an A-.
Considering it’s only a paragraph long and contains several spelling and grammatical errors, that’s pretty absurd. It’s sad really.
I know these a lot of these athletes don’t go to schools for the education, but can you imagine if a regular student turned this paper in? Come on.
