Kevin Durant continues to be one of the kindest NBA stars on and off the court, and the latest example of this has him putting his money where his mouth is. KD has teamed up with the folks at KIND to launch the “Strong and Nice” campaign which is aimed at showing people that it’s strong to be kind.
As part of the movement, the unlikely partners are looking for one million people to join them by taking a pledge at strongandkind.com to support a $1 million donation from KIND to the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation. The donation will be used to create specialized education and after-school programming for at-risk youth to teach them how to be STRONG & KIND.
Durant and the folks at KIND have created a website for the campaign – www.strongandkind.com — which asks people to commit to these five principles:
– Having the courage to be kind when others may not
– Looking out for those who can’t look out for themselves
– Standing up when others would rather stand out
– Leaving their world a kinder place than they found it
– Being Strong and Kind
Hard to argue with the positive aspects of something like this. Kudos to KIND and the Durant team.
