Tim Thomas might be feeling a little extra motivation to play well these days, considering the fact that his Florida Panthers completed a blockbuster trade to acquire Roberto Luongo a day before Wednesday’s NHL trade deadline.
Maybe that’s what helped him make this ridiculous desperation stick save on his former teammate Patrice Bergeron in Boston on Tuesday night. The first period save must have given Bruins fans flashbacks to Thomas’ days wearing the black and gold, when he made plenty of crazy stops like this one.
