Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alex Edler did his best to get on the highlight reel with a big hip check on Ryan Reaves during last night’s return to NHL action against the St. Louis Blues. Unfortunately for Edler, his hip check didn’t turn out so well, Reaves trucked him, and he wound up awkwardly stuck against the boards with a face full of ice. Not exactly highlight reel worthy, but that’ll certainly find its way to the blooper reel.
