The USA men’s hockey team could have used some of the magic Wisconsin prep hockey player Alex Hopkins displayed on the ice over the weekend.
During a playoff game on Saturday against the New Richmond Tigers, the senior forward ruined a defenseman with a filthy move, before basically doing a barrel roll in front of the goalie, and somehow putting the puck into the net.
Despite Hopkins’ remarkable goal, the Blizzard lost the game, but YouTube user Mike Higgins said it well in the video’s description:
Even though the Tigers won the game, this sweet shot should go on Sports Center
