It’s been almost a year since Patrick Downes and his wife, Jessica, both lost their left leg in the Boston Marathon bombing and, despite their injuries, it’s clear their spirit and feelings for each other have not been broken.
Jessica enlisted the help of numerous bombing survivors, nurses and social workers to create a flash mob for Patrick as a Valentine’s Day surprise at Copley Plaza, located nearing the marathon’s finish line, on Thursday. Pretty awesome.
