According to the Associated Press, AT&T has been letting some of its iPhone customers switch to unlimited data plans in an effort to keep them from jumping ship to Verizon. AT&T previously offered an unlimited data plan for the iPhone until the launch of the iPhone 4 when it switched to tiered-rate plans. AT&T subscribers who were originally on the unlimited data plan got to keep it unless they switched to a lower-priced capped data plan where they would not be able to revert back. The iPhone for Verizon goes on sale February 10th. AT&T has not responded to the so-called policy changes.
