While Don Cherry is one of the most respected hockey broadcasters in the world, his most famous calling card might just be his hideous wardrobe.
That wardrobe will be honored by the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League this weekend when they take the ice wearing the spectacularly ugly uniforms you see in the picture above. The jerseys are supposed to emulate one of Cherry’s most famous getups – a plaid suit top with black pants.
It’s actually a pretty creative and unique tribute. No word whether an NBA team plans to do the same to honor Craig Sager’s wardrobe – although those jerseys would still probably be better looking than the 2014 All-Star uniforms.
