Just one day after brilliantly tweeting a picture of his weed stash, Davone Bess is back to making some great life decisions – this time assaulting a police officer in an airport.
The Cleveland Browns wide receiver was arrested and taken into custody by police at Fort Lauderdale International Airport around early Friday morning after allegedly acting erratically and smashing a cup of coffee into an officer during a confrontation.
These tweets from a Miami Dolphins (Bess’ former team) beat reporter:
Bess was walking down the concourse “acting irrationally,” singing, dancing with his pants falling down.

When the officer went up to Bess to have him stop, he crushed a cup of coffee on him, and got into a fighting stance.

Officer struck him in the leg with his ASP (his baton?), but it had no effect. Bess then took off his shirt, and got in fighting stance.

Considering the photo Bess tweeted yesterday, this story and Bess’ appearance in his mugshot at the top of this post, I don’t think it’s crazy to assume that the man was likely under the influence of something at the time of his arrest.
