With the Oscar nominations being handed out this morning, the movie award season is in full swing and some of the New York Yankees have caught the acting bug. C.C. Sabathia and Mark Teixeira showed off their acting chops on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Sabathia donned a wig to play Ivy Weston and Teixeira had the daunting task of portraying Violent Weston, who was played by Meryl Streep in the highly touted August: Osage County. The scene was riveting and it came to a abrupt and amazing crescendo as Sabathia, err Ivy slapped Teixeira, err I mean Violet. While Sabathia was decent, it was big Tex who showed real promise of being a big time actor or a sassy Southern woman after his playing days are over.
